I ran across the Loring family in the 1870 Franklin Co. Montgomery Twp. Ohio census while searching for my missing Amerine ancestors.
They are listed as follows,
Nelson 50
Eliza 36
Harrison 13
Frank 11
Marley 11
Mary 4
Martha 2

I believe Eliza was the widow of Colbert Amerine. Her maiden name was McGough. Harrison and Marley are Amerines but listed without surnames in this census. Their (Colbert and Eliza)older children, William and Kate are also in the 1870 Franklin Co. census as domestic servants in neighboring households. Colbert Amerine, wife Eliza and children William, Catherine, Harrison and Marley were listed as a family in the 1860 Darke Co. OH census and the dates match with the 1870 census.
Sorry I can't help with the mother of Mary and Martha, but they must have also had a brother Frank and if I am correct 4 step-siblings.
Hope this helps.
