I am desperately searching to find the correct Lorenz artist for a painting my late uncle sent from Germany in 1954, to his wife in the US. The right hand corner supports a LORENZ signature with no first initial. The painting is a landscape with a building that appears to be a barn from Germany. The painting is streched on canvas, and is in good condition considering the age. On the back of the painting the name Johann is incribed in pencil with a another name after it but I cannot make out the letters. We are certain that my uncle received the painting as a gift or for payment in a favor of some kind. If anyone has any information that will help me in the process of discovery I would greatly appreciate it.
