There are 3 Samuel Lorees living in Morris County about the same time. Your Samuel Loree is the one mentioned in the Bill of Mortality publisshed in 1807. Samuel Loree died on October 30, 1772 at age 23 from "bleeding from the lungs." He married Mary Reeve at the First Church [Presbyterins] Morristown, NJ on January 25, 1770. He and Mary had one daughter Elizabeth born July 30, 1771. She married twice,(1) Col Silas Axtell on January 9, 1791 and (2) Nathaniel Clark.
This Samuel Loree is the son of Job Loree and Sarah Stanborough who lived in Mendham.
There is another Samuel Loree living in Mendham, son of Samuel and a Samuel Loree son of John Loree living in Morristown. The Combined Registers for the First Presbyterian Church in Morristown gets the death dates of these 2 Samuels incorrect as does Barbara Hoskins in Men from Morris County who served in the American Revolution.
