Hello Vicki - Nice to hear from you.I do keep my Hotmail account open, but no longer use that for FH activities. There used to be too much spam, before they tightened up on that.
However, I've received your message and looked through my list of names.I do haave her listed, though we [my father and I] have found no link between her family and ours from that part of England.I'm sorry to say that I also don't know the source of the data I have on her: nowadays, I'm trying to be more rigerous in recoding and source details. This is one of those instances where such source data might help you more than my merely having her on record.I suspect that her name may have been given to us by Veronica Lord, 4+IR cousin of mine.My father chanced upon Veronica in his non-Web researches: she had been researching the LORDs of Wantage, Denchworth, and envirins for some 20 years.Once she had exchanged her data with us, we realised we were related: she still lives in Wantage.
I can produce a gedcom file for you, for the data on her family that I have.I can also give you one for our family, which I believe includes some from Denchworth; certainly from areas close by.These names may interest you.
If you like to reply to me direct on griff1n[a-t]clara.co.uk [use the @ symbol, of course, in the middle] and let me know what you need, I'll extract the names.
I'll be seeing my father this weekend, and will ask him about this.He has looked at our LORDs more than me: I've concentrated on our BREITZKEs from Pomerania in the 1880s, who married into the LORDs [by that time, in London].Because I'll be travelling, it may be a week or so before I can get back to you.
When you write, do tell me more of your interest in the LORD family from Berkshire/Oxfordshire.We have found three main groupings, but have been unable, as yet, to link them.
Oooops! - correction to what I've said above.I'm not going to delete that, there may be somthing of interest in what I've said. However, I just did another check, since I remembered that I recived a whole lot of data from someone who was connected with the Oxfordshire LORDs.My FH programme tells me Persillia was his 1+5R cousin: therefore, it would make sense if I can extract that grouping for you [eventually].
Hope to hear from you again shortly - do let me know whereabouts in the world you are, too.
Best regards
David[now in Scotland]
