My grandfather's name was David Thomas Lorance born 2/17/1864 in Tennessee. He married my grandmother Maude Jane Hardman probably in Leonard, Fannin County, Texas, her hometown. They had four children, Maude Lee Josephine, John, Mae, and David Ross.

I know very little about David Thomas Lorance's antecedents. I was told he was the sheriff of Hunt County and I know Maude Lee Josephine, my mother, was born there. Fannin county adjoins Hunt County, so it is
is highly possible he lived there before they were married.

They moved to Del Rio, Val Verde County,Texas before the second child was born and remained there for most of his life. In his later years he lived in Bracketville,Kinney County, Texas (which adjoins Val Verde).

Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
