Sorry to be so long in responding to your reply. Frankly, I'd forgotten about my request. The LOPEMAN line is on my wife's side. Earl was her biological grandfather. He married Hazel VARNER and they had a son, but Earl left when the boy was very small and they subsequently divorced.

My wife has always wanted to know more about Earl. All we know is that they lived in Independence, Kansas.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
