For many years we have been trying to find the Loomis line beyond Jacob K Loomis, my wife's gggrandfather. His father may have been William Hartman Loomis aka Hartman Loomis as you have noted. Below is Jacob's BIO. Any help you can furnish would be greatly appreciated. thanks
1. Jacob K Loomis, born 02 Jun 1806 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut; died 03 Feb 1889 in Ionia, Jewell Co., Kansas. He married (1) Sarah M Peacock 28 Dec 1831 in New York. She was born 08 May 1813 in New York, New York Co., New York, and died 18 Nov 1903 in Ionia, Jewell Co., Kansas. She was the daughter of Peacock and Mrs Peacockwife.
Notes for Jacob K Loomis:
The father of Jacob may not be William Hartman Loomis. Efforts to prove/disprove the connection have been futile.
