I'm searching for descendants of Col. Daniel Loomis and his wife, Mary Huston Loomis, who lived near Plainfield, Otsego County, NY in the early 1800's. Sons Daniel and Henry remained in the area for some time, however, William Loomis moved away. I'd like to see if any family member has information concerning William Loomis, born in about 1798. He reportedly married Maria (?), and they were parents of a daughter named Mary who was born in about 1827. It seems they planned to move to WI in about 1840, however, I can't locate them in WI and wonder if they may have moved to IL instead. Please contact me if you have any information on any of Col. Daniel's descendants. Thanks so much for any help you can supply.
