I'm looking for desendants of Deacon Daniel Loomis. He moved to Richfield, Otsego Co, NY, where he died in 1807. I'd like to find someone who has information on Deacon Daniel's grandchildren, particularly, Col. Daniel's son, William Loomis. According to the Loomis Family in America genealogy, William removed to Wisconsin with his wife, Maria, and daughter, Mary. I don't find any documentation of his life in WI, however. I wonder if he might have gone west but settled in another state. My gr, gr grandfather, William Loomis, is documented in Hancock County, IL in 1840-1850. I believe he had a daughter named Mary from an earlier marriage. I wonder if my gr gr grandfather, William Loomis, could possibly be William Loomis (#2697), son of Col. Daniel Loomis (# 1081)and grandson of Deacon Daniel Loomis (#433.) If you have any information to confirm or deny that possibility, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
