I have been working on my son-in-laws line for some time. I have gotten back to Joseph Loomis b. 1761 and Sarah Wormstead b. abt. 1765. They had 9 children that I have been able to confirm or estimate.
His line is as follows:
Samuel Loomis (1786-1873) md. Elizabeth Wardwell (1787-?) This is his direct line.
Charles Loomis (1811-1903) md. Elizabeth Weed (1828-1857) dau of Eliphalet Weed and Sarah Elizabeth Waring.
George Clayton Loomis (1851-1913) md Emeily Adilade Love (1852-1914) dau of Dollarson Sweat Love and Sarah Jane Cole.
Otis Love Loomis (1879-1961) md Grace Strayer (1885-1966)
Clyde Arthur Loomis (1920-2006) md Living Cole
Gregory Cole Loomis (1951-2000)
Gregory Cole Loomis is my son-in-laws father.
We are trying to link up to the Joseph Loomis - The Loomis Family in America. Does anyone have any information that would take me further back than Joseph Loomis who married Sarah Wormstead?
