Leon, I see by scanning the forum that you have corresponded with a Norma McInturff (1999) who is a descendant of this John. So am I, through his daughter Sarah who married Benjamin Lindsay. Sounds as though Norma has most of the information I have. John's will, written 19 Feb. 1820, proved 16 July 1821, is in Frederick Co., Md., Will Liber HS#2, f. 478. It names 10 children: John, William, Peter, Andrew, Basil, Susannah, Elizabeth, Peggy, Sally, and Barbara, the last two under 21. He also names a niece Eliza, daughter of his brother Peter, who is not of age, and provides for the manumission of a slave named Caleb after 1 Jan. 1835. Two more children are attributed to John in family papers, though I can offer no proof: Moses (b. 16 Jan 1791, d. 26 Feb. 1868)and Mary or Polly (m.lic. 25 May 1824 Sam'l Eury, d. 17 Apr. 1875). John's wife was Sarah Worman, who outlived him but is not mentined in the will. John and Sarah, and most of their children, are buried in Frederick Co., Md., in the cemetery of Linganore Mehtodist Chapel, Unionville. I don't know which member(s) of this family you are interested in. Hope this helps. Nancy
