Lonsdales in South Africa

I'm trying to search my husbands family tree, this is what we know for sure so far...His G. Grandfather was brother to Lord Lonsdale in England, he went to South Africa where my husbands Grandfather, Harry Samuel Lonsdale was born in Ladysmith in the year 1898. Harry came to the US and Canada in the early 1900's. He lied about his age and joined the Canadian Military during the 1st World War, he was in the 18th infantry. We know he eventually ended up in Detroit, MI and married Dorothy Look, the had three children: Joyce, Patricia and Robert, they moved from Detroit to Onaway,MI. where Harry died in 1952. If this sound familiar to ANYONE we would be very greatful for any information you may have and be willing to share.
