Sandra, I've had a chance to look at the little bit of Lonsdale information I have and this is what I've come up with. The 1880 Philadelphia census lists William Lonsdale (b. abt 1849) 31 yrs. old, his wife Rachael 34, children Anna 11, Samuel 10, and John 4. My husband's line descends from Anna who married William Hunt>George B. Hunt>Ellen Hunt Carson>
The census lists William's father as being born in Eng. and his mother in Pa. Is the census reversed? Wouldn't be the first time. It also lists William's occupation as being a RR conductor. Do you know when William died? In the 1910 census Rachel Lonsdale is living with her grandson George B. Hunt. Thanks for your help, Dawn
