Are you aware that a Christopher Lonsdale came to Canada(British Columbia) in the early 1900s and soon(1916) set up a private school which is now called the Shawnigan Lake School.
In the early 1940s he was featured on the cover of Time magazine. His son, Robert V.H. Lonsdale, (born in Canada/1913) was a fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain(Nos. 46//242/and 501 Squadrons). He died in Canada in the 1980s.
