Searching for a connection to William Longworth, born ca. 1829, either New York or Canada. William was in Gonzales County, Texas living in the Rancho Community on the 1860 census. He is listed with his family:
William, age 31, farmer, born in Canada
Sarah, 29 years, (place of birth illegible)
Thomas, age 11, born in LA.
John, age 9, born in LA.
Ann, age 6, born in LA.
Esther J., born in TX.
George, born in TX.

The 1870 Census of Wilson County list the following:
William, age 45, Dist. Clerk, born in New York
George, age 9,born in Texas

William Longworth was appointed Chief Justice of Wilson County, Texas September 1, 1865 and I am trying to find a family member who might have a photograph of William to hang in our county courthouse along with all other Chief Justices of Wilson County. Hope someone can help.
