Thank you for starting a Longwith Genforum. The few Longwith messages are on the Longworth genforum site. You may have some luck there.

I am a member of a different Longwith branch, settled in the Midwest. My father is Culver Wayland Longwith and I am surprised to see the name "Wayland" on another Longwith. My father didn't think it was a family name or had any familial significance.

I believe my family branched from the Longwith/Longworth family in Ohio (John and Sarah Cherry). Of course, John and his brother, Thomas, migrated from Virginia.

Do you know if you are related to Burgess, George, William, John, or Thomas? They were early Longwith's in Virginia in the 1700"s.

Looking forward to hearing from you or any other Longwith.

Thanks,
J. Longwith
