James Longstreet's will was dated 4 Mar 1830, Richmond County, Georgia and was sworn to as real will on 1 Jul 1833 in Richmond County. My 15-year old note says page 54 -- probably of an abstract of Richmond County wills, but a copy was also recorded in Noxubee County, Miss. in 1843 (where Mary Ann Longstreet and all children except future General had moved to.Future General was living in Augusta with uncle A.B. Longstreet and attending school at Richmond Academy [where my wife attended in the 1960s] so he would be prepared for West Point.)
