Possible new meaning for Queville ???
In researching the Francois ALLARD & Jeanne ANGUILLE family
I made the observation that the town of Francois' origin
(Blacqueville) is awfully similar to the place of Guillaume LONGPRE's
supposed origin (Queville). Do you think they might one & the same?
I am now REALLY curious to see a copy of the original 1720 marriage
document of Guillaume LONGPRE which mentions Queville!
.
Guylene, were you able to send me a copy of it?
Does it look like there could be a few faded letters
at the start of Queville?

Francois ALLARD probably arrived in New-France on the same ship
as his maternal uncle Thomas FREROT - they were of the same age.
It is said that Francois had a fine handwriting ...
so it would seem that he had an education, since
not many knew how to write in the 1600s.
..........
.
I wonder if the ALLARD family had some dealings with England
because of the use of anglacized names like James & Thomas ?
There are some ALLARD descendants in England today.
.
In my web travels, I did see one webpage that claimed that
Guillaume LONGPRE came from England ... but at the time,
I assumed that the webmaster had meant to say New-England.
I'll have to try & find it again & inquire.
