Hi Pam,
I'm a descendant of William's older sister, Jane Longley (b. 1719). Jane married a Thomas Crisford (b. 1722) and their daughter was a Mary Crisford (b. 1757). Your Mary would be a cousin of mine.

About their Great Grandfather The Rev Charle Maude, he was the Rector of Sandhurst Parish from 1690 till his death in 1723...apart from being the vicar at St Nicholas Church. I wish I could get at it, but I have a piccie you might be interested in of Charles' handwriting in the parish registry. Unfortunately it's on my other computer which isn't working at present!!!.

Might also be of interest to you but Charles is a direct descendant of a distinguished noble family, the Maudes. His line is from Alverthorpe Hall, which was near Wakefield in Yorkshire. Although I suspect you already know this :).

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know of another cousin, this time all the way from the land "Down Under".
