I did provide you with this documentation previously. But incase you do not have it anymore,The documentation can be found in the St. Lukes Episcopal Parish in Church Hill, Queen Annes County, Maryland.Birth records of John Longfellow born 6 Jan 1740 son to Joseph and Elizabeth Longfellow.
The Land Grant was given to a Joseph Longfellow in 1737and assumed to be this Joseph that married Elizabeth and lived on the property and had several children.
There is also a Thomas Longfellow that documentation will prove was there also early in the same time period and could possibly be a brother to this Joseph both possibly being sons to a Joseph Longfellow that you have described as an earlier generation possibly being the Immigrant, but this was also your suggestion to be proof of no connection to William.
There was a Joseph Longfellow born 7 Nov 1693 in Leeds, Yorkshire England a son to John Longfellow born about 1663 a son of Thomas L. Longfellow b. 16 Apr 1626 in Guiseley, CP,Yorkshire, England but nothing has been discovered on the immigration of this Joseph Longfellow but the names match up quite well.
If it turns out that the immigrant was this same Joseph that received the Land grant in 1737 and he was the same Joseph that witnessed the Will in 1711 and if it was the same Joseph that was born 7 Nov 1693 then that would have made him only 18 years old when he witnessed the Will.
But if it were a much older Joseph say 30 or 40 years old when witnessing the Will, as you suggested, then he must have been born 1670 or earlier.
