Moreover, you say the "only documented proof of a John Longfellow is to Joseph Longfellow 6 Jan 1740." Would you be kind enough to please post that proof? Have you got a grip on the generations, e.g., proof the immigrant Joseph gave birth to somebody in 1740? Excuse me?

I repeat. It is HIGHLY UNLIKELY the Joseph granted the 50-acres of land was the immigrant. HIGHLY UNLIKELY if you project his likely age when he witnessed the will in 1710. More likely it was a son!!!!!! But I have yet to find proof of that.
