Tax List for 1782 in Duck Creek Hundred Kent, Delaware lists a Jonas Longfellow over 18 years old with a female older than 18 years old and a female under 18 years old. This is a possible Jonathan Longfellow born 1715 but uncertain if it was John Longfellow born 1740 where early Tax Records for Delaware will show that a John Longfellow paid Taxes in 1754 and there after. Would a John Longfellow born 1740 be required to pay taxes at 14 years old at that time period or would it have been an older Jonathan born 1715?
