I am always interested in Joseph Longfellow of Queen Annes, Maryland and do have a copy of the Parish records
of Protestant Epis. St. Luke's Parish at Church Hill for 1722-1850 and the location of this record is at MdHS,Baltimore, Maryland.Page 14 shows John son to Joseph
& Elizabeth Longfellow born 6 Jan 1740 and Baptised 19 June 1741.Page 15 shows Eliza D.(Daughter) to Charles & Elener Bradly born 24 Jan 1740 and Baptised 2 Aug 1741. This Elizabeth Bradley is whom John Longfellow b.6 Jan 1740
married. As far as I know this same John is the father of Joseph Longfellow b. 9 Nov 1768 (not proven) which I believe you are referring to as Joseph2 Longfellow. The possiblity of Joseph Longfellow SON of Joseph Longfellow (1711) being THE Joseph Longfellow that received the Land Patent in 1737 is interesting. However, if there were three Joseph Longfellow's in Maryland in the 1700's it would seem more documentation would be available for them.It seems quite logical that the Land Joseph Longfellow was living when granted 1737 was the same Joseph that witnessed the Will in 1711 and the land ends up in the possession of his son John Longfellow that sells it later on about 1769.There are other records, documentation of a Thomas Longfellow prior to the 1750's that could have been the same generation as Joseph Longfellow or a son, (a generation later) and he also had children, documentation can be found and he died 1796. Joseph Longfellow appeared to have died before 1769 as the land was sold by son John Longfellow to a Knotts,I believe.Thomas Longfellow had a daughter Susannah Longfellow b. about 1745 that married a Nathaniel Knotts
both from Queen Annes, Maryland. The idea of another Joseph Longfellow might make some good sense for all of the Longfellows that begin to show up in the early 1700's and especially the late 1700's but I have only found the two records of Joseph 1711 witnessing the Will and the Land Patent and possibly a Tax bill as Jos Longfellow about 1754 in Delaware.
