I show in my records (unproven) that Frances Longanecker (b. abt 1815) was the daughter of Jacob Longanecker and Mary Strickler and was married to Martin Luther Eberhart (who died in 1865).
Per "History of the Longacre-Longaker-Longenecker Families":
"Jacob (Longanecker), who died in West Newton, PA, was the father of seven children, viz.: David, Henry, Jacob, Frances (Longanecker) Eberhart, Barbara (Longanecker) Brown, Sarah (Longanecker) Goldsmith [should be Coldsmith], and Mary ----. Note: At the end of the listing, it also says "Jacob Longanecker, of West Newton, had also a daughter, Eliza, who married ---- Rotharmel."
I have another marriage recorded between George Washington Brown (b. abt 1812) and Frances Eberhart sometime before 1880, probably in Fayette Co., PA. I have a strong hunch that this Frances Eberhart was the widow of Martin L. Eberhart. George Brown was a widower at the time of his second marriage.
NOTE: 1880 census (Springhill Twp., Fayette Co., PA) lists;
BROWN, #141
George W., 67, farmer, PA3
Francis, 65, wife, PA3
