I am searching for Nancy Longenecker b 1822 (calculated by census records) probably in Bedford County, PA. Family history told through the ages suggest she married Robert Bridges b 1815. She was the mother of Virginia Bridges b1843, Joseph F. Bridges b1845 and Ann Jane Bridges b 1848. She is listed with the family in Johnstown, PA in the 1850 census. In 1860, she is gone, replaced with another wife named Agnes. I can not find any Nancy Longeneckers born in Bedford 1822. There is one b 1818 that is listed as married to a Miller. I did not find Nancy Bridges listed in the mortality index of Cambria County 1860. Did she divorce Robert Bridges, maybe return to Bedford and marry someone else? Does anyone know of another Nancy Longenecker b in Bedford other than the one that married Peter Miller? My research has led me to believe that the family story of Robert Bridges marrying a Nancy Longenecker is all too probable. There where Longeneckers in Bedford PA 1820's onward unless he met this Nancy after leaving Bedford PA. Where there Longeneckers in the Johnstown, PA area at this timeframe? I'd surely appreciate any info anyone might have or clues you might provide.
