I am looking for information on Catherine Longenecker and here ancestors. She married Charles Holser b 1803 in Holmes, Ohio and she died in 1899.

Here is some information I have that was collected by her children and grand children (Transcript from the "Heninnger Spplement"):

"The founder of the Longenecker family in the United States was one Daniel Longenecker. He was a Swiss immigrant who came to this country about 1722, or possibly as early as 1719. He was a minister in the Mennonite Church and seems to have sojourned in England for about ten years before crossing the Atlantic. He was of Huguenot extraction, his ancestors having fled to Switzerland and settled near Zurich after the massacre of St. Bartholemew. On May 1st, 1733, John and Thomas Penn conveyed to Daniel Longenecker 230 acres of land on the south-east side of the Schuylkill River at Mingo Creek, and this tract was held by his descendents until 1835.

Catherine Longenecker, born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania on March 19, 1810, was a member of the fourth generation of the Longenecker family in America. Her father was Peter Longenecker who in 1801 bought a 115 acre tract of land one mile east of Masontown in Fayette County from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Like his greatgrandfather, Daniel, he was a minister in the Mennonite Church and in 1812 he was made a Bishop. Later he removed to Holmes County, Ohio."
