Attempting to verify parentage of Peter Longenecker who was born in 1733 in Lancaster Co., PA and married circa 1762/3 at Hagerstown, Maryland to Anna Good, daughter of Jacob Good. Peter's will was executed on 2 November 1803 and probated the following month. Peter was a resident of Washington Township, Franklin County, PA at the time of death. Peter and Anna were my 4th great-grandparents through their son, Daniel (1775-1854). One source shows Peter's parents as John Longenecker (1703-1767) and Elizabeth Kendig Longenecker (1709-1781). Does anyone have documentation to support the theory that this Peter's parents were John and Elizabeth? The standard family genealogy of over 100 years ago shows my Peter as being in the line of Ulrich Longenecker (1664-1757), but fails to mention through which of Ulrich's sons.
