Having had a look at the England & Wales FreeBMD Marriage Index 1837-1983 I found the following very relevant entry:
Registered between Jul-Sep 1905 the marriage at Leeds (1837-1929) between Bertha Hill and Walter Longbottom. See: http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=freebmdmarriage,&ti=5538&f6=1094&f7=1905&f8=Jul-Aug-Sep&f5=9b AND http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=view&r=5538&dbid=8913&iid=ONS_M19054AZ-0967&fn=Walter&ln=Longbottom&st=d&ssrc=&pid= AND http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=view&r=5538&dbid=8913&iid=ONS_M19054AZ-0906&fn=Bertha&ln=Hill&st=d&ssrc=&pid=
