Not sure if this thread is still active but I have a 5th generation grandmother that married a Joseph Longacre on April 4th 1822 in Wayne County, Indiana. Her true maiden name is unknown to us but before she re-married Joseph her name was Nancy Pearson. We believe Joseph was or may have been a second marriage to Nancy after her first husband died. What exactly became of Joseph or anything of him is not completely unknown to us. We believe Nancy and Joseph had two children from this second marriage but have not been able to confirm this as of yet. Also, we believe this Joseph had a son, Anderson Longacre, prior to Nancy's marriage with him. Anderson Longacre, we believe right now, he may have married a Rebeeca Pearson, daughter of Nancy's first marriage. Mother and daughter married father and son. Futher, both father and son Longacre families can be found in Madison County, Indiana in the 1830 and 1840 census. I haven't tracked as of yet what happened to all of the Longacres that belong to my relation but I do know that Joseph and Nancy seperated somehow after 1840. Whether it was by death or divorce is unknown to us. Also as to what happened with Anderson we have not gotten that far yet. Not sure if this helps with anything what so ever but thought to write.
