Howell Long,(bn 1883) was one of seven children and the only one to move to the state of Washington. His other siblings were Harry Elsworth, Ida Marion, John Wesley, Milton Parker, Margaret Mildred, and Robert. Their parents were Marion Francis Long, (bn 1841) and Jane Agatha (Jennie) Parker, (1840). This family lived in and around Hamilton Co., Ohio in Cincinnati, Hartsville, and Madisonville and in Dayton, Mongomery,Co.,Ohio. They also lived in Indiana in Greensburg(Decatur Co.),and perhaps,in Jefferson,Co.,in Madison. They also lived briefy in Newport, Campbell Co., Ky.
It is possible that Howell and Charles were cousins. I do not know who Marion Long's father was. This branch of Longs were of German, ( or as my grandma used to say, Pennsylvania Dutch) ancestry. Marion Long's mother ,I believe, was Susanna Asher from Virginia. I only know Howell's grandparent's on the Parker side.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There is just so much digging to do sometimes before anything is uncovered...but it does happen. Best regards, Maggie
