Maybe we can help eachother. My Long family came to Lancaster Co., PA from Germany. Their name was Lang. While researching I went to my History of the Long family of PA.
I have Nicholas Lang Family b. 1739 and died 1784.Married Elizabeth Gass.A Nicholas and Predilla Elizabeth Boeshore Long. Daughter Anna Maria b. 1742. And a Nicholas, son of Thomas and Margretha Lange born April r 1746 (Salem, N.J.)
My immigrant ancestor is listed as Christian Lang of Germany and settled in Lancaster County, PA.b. 1664 However, we can find nothing on him. Lots on his kids tho.
NOW, There was a Nickolas Lang who came to N.Y. in 1710 with the Germans who were given free passage by Queen Ann.
He is listed on the HUNTERS LIST there. He moved to PA with Conrad Weiser and other Palatines to Tulpehocken, PA.
I am currently researching this. Margaret Anders adelia@windstream.net
