I am interested in hearing from any Long with connections to Valley Head Alabama, especially if they have entered their DNA into a DNA project.
I descend thru Edward Long b:1810 AL and Alcey ?Ellis? b:1814 TN. Alcey and Edward are listed on the 1850 Hopkins Co, Texas census with their children that are shown as being born in TH,between 1832-1847. They migrated to Texas and may have stopped in KY prior to settling in Texas.
The family resided in the areas of Hopkins, Hunt and possible Cooke county Texas and Ryan, Jefferson county, OK.
I have had my dna tested and entered it into the LONG DNA project http://www.longwebs.org/longdna//Participants.htm
and the Y-Search database.
