I am looking for info on the son of (Miles Long) b. 1847 d. 1918. His father and mother was John Long (1785-1854) m. 1) Betsy Brittain, 2) Nancy Davis (1806-1894). John Long mother and father were Friedrich Long (1741-1826) and Sarah Gross (1745-1810). John Long b.? d. ? Marred date unknown a Martha Long, b.? d.? daughter of Daniel Long b.? d.? & Winnie Holcomb; b.? d.? were they cousins? It was not uncommon for family member marring there cousins in those days. They were from Surry County, North Carolina. This is all the info I can find on the internet. I hope someone knows a little more about this family. Thanks for any help anyone has.
