Forest City, N.C. , Dec. 11- JAMES Z. LONG, 47, of Dubberly, La., was killed Saturday near Minden, La., by a hit-and -run auto driver, according to word received here today by postmaster T.T. LONG, a brother.
MR. LONG'S body is being sent to Forest City, where it is expected to arrive Wednesday. Funeral arrangements will be made upon arrival of the body.
The deceased was born and reared in the Golden Valley section of Rutherford County but for about 3 years had been making his home with S.J. HOLLOMAN of Dubberly, La. His wife died some years ago. The following brothers and sisters survive; T.T. LONG, and P.N. LONG, Forest City,C.G. LONG, Charlotte, N.C., J.M. LONG, Klamath, Falls, Ore., MRS. A.C. MCCURRY, Bostic, N.C.; MRS. O.L. MELTON, Polkville, Cleveland Co., N.C. ; and MRS. J.E. HAWKINS, Morganton. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
