Long/Maltby wedding, 1904
From the St. Charles (IL) Chronicle, 28 Oct. 1904:
October wedding
A Quite Home Wedding Unites the Destinies of Miss Gertrude Long and Mr. Augustus Maltby
A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Long of East Fourthstreet Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, when Miss Gertrude Plessis Long and Mr. Augustus Maltby were united in marriage by Rev. John Lee.
Miss Lizzie Welch played the Mendelsohn wedding march. The couple were unattended. The rooms were tastefully decorated with ferns and chrysanthemums. The bride was married in a handsome brown traveling suit.
A luncheon was served, after which the bride and groom left for Chicago on the 4:20 p.m. train.
Mr. Maltby is an expert tuner at the Cable piano factory, coming here from Grand Haven, Mich., some time ago. Miss Long is one of our most popular young ladies, and both young people begin life with kindly wishes from many friends.
Miss Margaret Nolan of Geneva, a relative of the groom, was a guest at the wedding.

I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information, just a crumbling old newspaper.
