My ancestor was a Charles CARON who married an Elizabeth nee MANN at St.Botolph Bishopsgate, London on 4/9/1825. Their daughter was Julia CARON born in 1828 in Holborn, London, Middlesex. Julia had a daughter Elizabeth Harriet Juliet CARON born in 1850 in StGiles, near Holborn in London. She also had a son John William PATTERON ~ 1852/53 in Lambeth, Surrey. The 1861 Census lists both children as PATTERSONs and Julia as a widow! John's marriage entry in 1872 shows his father as another John William PATTERSON and deceased, occupation Lapidarist. Furthermore this 1861 Census shows Julia to be living as a lodger at 30 Stangate Street, Lambeth, Surrey. Unfortunately I cannot locate a marriage between Julia and John senior! So maybe they were unmarried??
Anyway are there any descendants of either child (Harriet or John William) who can fill me in on the plethora of detail I do not have?? This would be wonderful as I believe this line of the family were very secretive early on as many families were in those days!! I know practically nothing and have no photographs of any of these ancestors...but would dearly love to!
