Hello, In my ancestry search for information on my grandfather, I recently learned that as a child, he reportedly was a page at Buckingham Palace. My cousin told me that as a child, she had a costume given to her by her father to wear for halloween, that had belonged to her grandfather...that he used to wear when he was a page at Buckingham Palace. She was told that there is a plaque of some kind with the names of all the children who were pages, somewhere on the premesis of the Palace grounds. I sure would like to find out if this is true. Charles Edward Boreman was born in 1878 in Chelsea and I have the family living there in the 1881 census, when he was three. The family moved to Wandsworth around 1887-88 so I am figuring that it would have been sometime within that window. Would there be anyone out there who lives in proximity to Buckingham Palace that could check this out...and if his name is listed, could you get a picture of it? If not, just confirming his name was there would be a big help to me. Thank You. Bruce Notify Administrator about this message?
