The information that I have on Edwin Leon Lombard is as follows:
Edwin Leon was born about 1917; residence Whitman, MA. in 1941. Edwin L. Lombard gave his birth year as 1917 when he enlisted in the US Army in Boston Dec. 22, 1941. He had 3 years of high school, was single with no dependents 66” tall and weighed 123. (WWIIAER) The Social Security Death Index includes Edwin Lombard, born Mar. 14, 1917 who died in Meadville PA Apr. 1987. He also had applied for his Social Security card in MA.
His siblings were:

Margaret Isabel born 1919
Louise Reed born 1922
Robert Dalton born 1932
Their parents were Richard Snow Lombard, Jr. and Irene Frances Pratt of Whitmas MA.
