First, our family records don't show Frank. He is possibly a cousin to Hiram.
Our sources of information are a family bible, apparently kept up to date by Frances and later Oren, and obituary notices for Hiram, Oren, and Orville.
Oren (aka Orren Harrison) moved to Petoskey Michigan as a young man. He married Nellie Jane Angus, a Petoskey girl, on July 20, 1879.
Orren and Nellie had two children: Clarence Angus and Orien Hubert. Clarence never married.
Orien married Rena May Wellman on September 22, 1915. They had three children: Raymond Alfred, Agnes Marie, and Nellie Jeannette. Agnes never married.
Raymond married Dora May Heltzel on March 6, 1949. They had four girls: Rose Mary, Charlene Ann, Mildred May, and Deborah Jean.
I am Charlene Lombard Derby.
Hiram moved to Petoskey, possibly after he was widowed. He died there on March 31, 1916 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
Orville moved to Petoskey at some point, and lived there about 25 years. He died on December 24, 1916, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
Our records show that Hiram and Frances were married on February 27, 1868 had six children: Orren Harrison, Orville William, Orlette Jane, Charles Otis, Edwin Orson, and George Edwin.
We've observed that some names are spelled differently in the records. In some cases, we can't read the ink in the family bible very well and in some cases we think the newspaper or cemetary people made typing errors.
