My Lomaxes were from around the river Mersey south of Liverpool (on the Irish sea coast). The places are Widnes, Halebank, Farnworth village near Widnes (not the one near Bolton), Prescot. Some marriages and vague connections to Runcorn, Birkenhead and Saecombe south bank of the River Mersey.

I see lots of Lomax research going on round Bolton, Darwen, Oldham which are all effectively north of Manchester. It must be 40 miles plus away from my area of research but there is such a vast concentration I can't believe there isn't a connection somewhere.

I have no Darwen Lomaxes on my data - sorry!!

If any turn up I will let you know.
