Go to www.vanleerplus.org to learn about the ancestors of John George vonLoehr of Birstein, Isenburg, Prussia, Hesse, Germany, who came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, America with his wife and son, Bernardus, in 1697. Bernardus was b. in 1686. We have no record of his siblings, if any. So far as we know, this vonLoehr family was the first to emmigrate to America. John was a gold merchant of London at the time. We believe he had fled Germany due to the restrictions put upon him and his family during the Palatine wars. I would like to correspond with anyone interested in a connection between vonLoehr and Lohr.
