John LOHMAN, Germany to NJ, then VA?

Searching for a John LOHMAN born abt. 1811 or 1812 in Germany, came to somewhere in NJ, date unknown. Was married to Margaret B. unknown, they had a daughter Elizabeth in May 1853, then moved to Fairfax Co., VA where they had Anna "Annie" Catherine on 17 Mar 1857. From there I can follow
Annie Catherine, my ggrm. but I have no information on the rest of the family. Can anyone help me with some additional info? THANK YOU.
