My ancestor line comes from Obediah Logsdon, in reference to his civil war death, he had his leg blown off by a cannon ball.It was said that he wrote a final letter to his wife using a stick and his own blood, if this is true or not, I do not know. His son James Morris, we know as James Buckley I, the Buckley is possibly a nickname or a reference to a good friend of his from the civil war.James Buckley Logsdon was a blacksmith in Orleans Nebraska. His Son James B. II, was my grandfather, lived in Orleans, then bought a farm in Crete, Neb.He retired in Orleans where he died in Feb 85.My father James B. III now lives in the family home there. My older Brother Russell L. lives in Nebraska, while I am a soldier currently at Ft. Benning Ga.
