I am fairly sure that I am related to this group of Logans. In my family records, there is a copy of a bible record from James Logan (b. 15 May 1811 - d. 26 September 1887) and Rebecca Marshall (b. 20 April 1812 - d. 21 February 1889.Their third child was William Coffee Marshall Logan (b. 22 July 1840 - d. March 1925 in Cherryvale, Kansas).William had one son, my great grandfather, Charles (b. 24 December 1866 - Davenport, Iowa - d. 3 January 1911, Altoona Kansas).
At this point in my research I would guess that James Logan followed his older brother Samuel to Iowa.In Iowa, W.C Logan married Malvina Jenkins and they had their children. At some point, they moved to Kansas where they spent their remaining years.
