Still Seeking Descendants of William George Logan (1831-1920)
I am still seeking descendants of William George Logan (1831-1920), who was born in Kentucky on 19 NOV 1831 on the family farm near Stanford, and died on 26 APR 1920 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
I am eager to obtain photographs of Dr. Logan, his wife, Mildred Tapp Arnold (b. 19 MAY 1834, d. 6 JAN 1922), and their daughter, Frances Mariah Logan (b. 6 MAR 1855, d. 26 JAN 1946).Frances donated a large stained glass window, designed by Dr. Charles Jay Connick (1875-1945) of Boston, to the Cathedral, which was installed in 1944.(Dr. Connick was proclaimed by The New York Times to be the greatest stained glass craftsman in America at the death of Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1933.)
I am currently concluding the writing of a book for the congregation of the Cathedral on the stained glass windows and other memorial gifts, and would very much like to have photographs of Dr. Logan, his wife, and daughter Frances to include in the book.
Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] if you have photographs to share.
Thank you most sincerely,
