Seeking Descendants of Dr. James Elmore Logan (1862-1928)
Greetings to all members of the Logan Family!
I am Randal J. Loy, and for the past four years, I have been researching the histories of the memorial gifts, including the 18 stained glass windows, in the Nave of the Cathedral Church of the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri, Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, located in Kansas City, Missouri.
One of our last windows, one of a set of three designed by the important Boston stained glass artist Charles J. Connick (1875-1945), is a memorial to Dr. William George Logan, born November 24, 1831, in Stanford, Kentucky, died April 26, 1920, in Kansas City, Missouri; and his wife, Mildred Tapp Arnold, born May 19, 1834, in Jessamine, Kentucky, died January 6, 1922, in Kansas City, Missouri. The window was donated by their daughter, Frances Mariah Logan, born March 6, 1855, in Lexington, Kentucky, died January 26, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri.
They also had one son, Dr. James Elmore Logan (1861-1928). He was born on October 16, 1861, in Jessamine, Kentucky, and died on March 24, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri. He married Helen Richards (1862-1949).
I am hoping a descendant of Dr. James Logan will see this post and contact me, because I would like to have photographs of Dr. Logan, Mildred Tapp Arnold Logan, and Frances Mariah Logan to illustrate the chapter on the Logan stained glass window.
If you can provide me with scanned photographs of the Logans for use in the upcoming not-for-profit book, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] if you can assist me in this regard.
Thank you most kindly!
