Yep, you're right. I had forgotten this was Thomas' step-son. Sanford was a son of Cornelius PEELE and Lucy Ann Malinda JONES. I show Lucy as having at least 6 children with Thomas including:
James Earl, 1908
Thomas Manley, 1910
Annie R., 1912
Clara Ellen, 1914
Edna Irene, 1916
Octavia Josephine, 1918
Thomas died in Sanford, Lee County and was removed back to Surry for burial at Siloam Friends (Old Siloam Methodist), which I surveyed a few years ago. Lucy also died in Sanford or Moore County, but all I have is it was abt 1972. Believe she is buried in either Lee or Moore counties.
