Parents of Grover Cleveland LOGAN - Guilford County, NC

Who was Pauline WHITAKER and who were her parents?

Reason I ask is that I have a death record for Grover Cleveland LOGAN here in Guilford County (5-17-1941) and it lists Thomas Jefferson LOGAN as father and Pauline WHITAKER as his mother, both from Surry County. Grover was married to Lucy Etta WALL (b. abt. 1896), daughter of J. H. WALL and Jennie JOHNSON. But, I have Grover as being the son of Thomas Jefferson LOGAN and Nancy RING.

Thomas Jefferson LOGAN was my gr-gr-grandfather and I have him married to 1) Nancy RING (m. 1-27-1870) in Surry County. Then, I have him marrying 2) Lucy Ann JONES (m. 12-2-1903) in Yadkin County. From his marriage to Nancy RING comes my gr-grandmother Mary Alice LOGAN, who married Samuel Martin PATTERSON.

Any help on this would be appreciated.
