I, too am interested in the early LOGAN line's. I am in touch with a number of LOGAN's with origins in the northeast, specifically around VA. As I am Native American, many of these LOGAN's are also Native American, and are seeking a link to John LOGAN, Chief of the Mingo Tribe, a branch of the Cayuga of the Iroqoius Nation (I have some info on this line). My ancestor that I am seeking info about is; Isabella LOGAN, born about 1797 in SC (?), parentage - "unk", siblings - "unk," she married my ggg-grandfather, Richard FORD abt 1814 in Warren Cty., TN. There is much evidence (oral) that her parents were from the VA area. I have a great amount of dis-jointed info on the LOGAN's, specifically in relation to their Native American heritage. There were a large number of the students named LOGAN, at Haskell University (early to middle 1800's), that were Cayuga, Seneca, Iroqouis, and Winnebago. The LOGAN's here in Oklahoma who are my distant cousins are of Choctaw blood. So....does anyone have a LOGAN ancestor that went to SC, and had a daughter named Isabella????? I will share all I have!!!
