A little info and a lead.
By 1930, Mattie M (POLK, LOGAN) TIPPIT has remarried and been widowed. She and daughter, Eather L Tippit age 20 (actually Ester L. LOGAN) were enumerated together in Bear Creek, Sevier, Arkansas. There is a Ella who married Greer W. SMITH in 1925/6, of the correct age, who was enumerated 4 pages away form Mattie - I am not sure if this is actually Ella LOGAN. It does not appear that this SMITH family had any children in Texas. See Census below.
Thomas is said to have died in 1909 in Holly Creek, Howard Co., AR and is probably buried nearby.
